In the 15th minute Miklós Jakab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tivadar Paszkál saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Adorján Gombos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Örs Markó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Örs Markó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervin Vastag in the 19th minute of play. In the 23rd minute Kálmán Majer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tivadar Paszkál saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes, Pál Dankó mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Edelényi Bányász and the Sümegcsehi players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Kálmán Majer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Sümegcsehi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olivér Sörös to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miklós Jakab made a kick off. Edelényi Bányász's Örs Markó played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adorján Gombos in the 52nd minute of play. Tivadar Paszkál made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kálmán Majer in the 54th minute. Tivadar Paszkál showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gyula Paál in the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Adorján Gombos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Örs Markó saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Örs Markó showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adorján Gombos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Gergely Nagy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tivadar Paszkál having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Edelényi Bányász's Miklós Jakab ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tivadar Paszkál. Tivadar Paszkál yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Tivadar Paszkál made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Kálmán Majer sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gyula Paál in the 74th minute of play forced Sümegcsehi's goalkeeper Tivadar Paszkál to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Tivadar Paszkál successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 78 minutes, István Dudás mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Edelényi Bányász and the Sümegcsehi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Sümegcsehi. Domonkos Szigethy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Örs Markó. 1-3. 83 minutes into the match, Sümegcsehi's goal looked a bit too open when Miklós Jakab came free, but Tivadar Paszkál reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gábor Csongrádi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 85th playminute. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Kálmán Majer took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Tivadar Paszkál to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 93 minutes, Adorján Gombos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sümegcsehi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adorján Gombos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ervin Vastag took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Örs Markó. Örs Markó dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5.
