The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Gyáli BKSE's goal looked a bit too open when Miklós Jakab came free, but Miltiadis Pithagoras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Mikail Konuralp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gyáli BKSE's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikail Konuralp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Örs Markó breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute, Pál Dankó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mikail Konuralp took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Örs Markó. Örs Markó dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Mikail Konuralp came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Gyáli BKSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikail Konuralp couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Edelényi Bányász's zone, Mikail Konuralp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Örs Markó came out of the goal and Mikail Konuralp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miltiadis Pithagoras made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Kálmán Majer sent off a good shot on target. If Mikail Konuralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kálmán Gácsi's late challenge caught a Gyáli BKSE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kálmán Gácsi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Edelényi Bányász's Kálmán Gácsi got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Máté Gáspár kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 95th match minute, Edelényi Bányász was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gergely Nagy to maneuver through the defense. The Gyáli BKSE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gyáli BKSE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
