The Gelse fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Gelse's Ferenc Fülöp looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Örs Markó stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ferenc Fülöp's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. György Gömöri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that Gelse were the better team. Gelse's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
