The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kálmán Virágh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bálint Lovas in the 3rd minute of the match. József Szántó sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bálint Lovas might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kálmán Virágh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bálint Lovas ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee showed András Lőrinc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gomba SK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. András Lőrinc hit a great ball. Béla Dudás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kálmán Virágh having to interfere. Kálmán Virágh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bálint Lovas in the 24th minute of play. If Bálint Lovas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28thth minute of the game Bálint Lovas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gomba SK's Kálmán Virágh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kálmán Virágh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kálmán Virágh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bálint Lovas's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Alfréd Bodrogi took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kálmán Virágh. Kálmán Virágh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 41 minutes of play, Pécsi Mecsek FC's Alfréd Bodrogi made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kálmán Virágh was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Gomba SK defense, Bertold Pál kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kálmán Virágh. The Gomba SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kálmán Virágh should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bálint Lovas made a kick off. Bálint Lovas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Kálmán Virágh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pécsi Mecsek FC's Alfréd Bodrogi got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Alfréd Bodrogi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alfréd Bodrogi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gomba SK's András Lőrinc got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Bálint Lovas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leó Csordás didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gergely Hatvani went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Béla Dudáss short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Kálmán Virágh to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bertold Pál hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Richárd Újvári took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leó Csordás. Pécsi Mecsek FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bertold Pál received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Kálmán Virágh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bálint Lovas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Béla Dudás could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Kálmán Virágh made a huge save.
