Tiszalök VSE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Tiszalök VSE's goal looked a bit too open when Zalán Pető came free, but Károly Váradi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferenc Baló's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Krisztián Sydbøge read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, one of Tiszalök VSE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tiszalök VSE. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Nimród Vére. Tivadar Sörös stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Károly Váradi. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Tiszalök VSE's István Tamás got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th match minute, Tiszalök VSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferenc Baló to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute of the match Tivadar Sörös sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Károly Váradi skillfully saved the ball. When Nimród Vére's Tivadar Sörös in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Tiszalök VSE booed when Nimród Vére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elek Sipos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Zalán Pető shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Károly Váradi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute Nimród Vére were awarded a corner. Tivadar Sörös went to the cornerflag to take it. Tiszalök VSE's István Tamás suffered a concussion in the 29th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bálint Fekete during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tiszalök VSE's Iván Kereki was substituted for István Tamás. In the 30th minute, Bálint Fekete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Tiszalök VSE getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Iván Kereki hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Tivadar Sörös left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nimród Vére fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Tiszalök VSE's Iván Kereki got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Zalán Pető sped through Tiszalök VSE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Károly Váradi. Iván Kereki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Krisztián Sydbøge made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Iván Kereki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiszalök VSE's supporters rose to their feet, but Iván Kereki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krisztián Sydbøge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zalán Pető to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tiszalök VSE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tivadar Sörös was slow to take the kick. During this time Nimród Vére's players had a chance to rest. Károly Váradi came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Nimród Vére's Róbert Vadas. But to his dismay, Róbert Vadas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After a rather tough play, Nimród Vére's Bálint Fekete got a free kick in the 57th minute. A hard shot 60 in the game by Zalán Pető from a close distance when the talented Károly Váradi managed to make a qualified save. Tiszalök VSE's players were relieved. The supporters of Tiszalök VSE booed when Nimród Vére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bálint Fekete didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Tiszalök VSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Endre Végh to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Kereki in the 66th minute of play forced Nimród Vére's goalkeeper Krisztián Sydbøge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Tiszalök VSE's Mihály Fábián sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Krisztián Sydbøge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tivadar Sörös struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Károly Váradi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nimród Vére. When Iván Kereki came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Tiszalök VSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iván Kereki couldn't finish the play. Károly Váradi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zalán Pető in the 77th minute of the match. When Nimród Vére's Zalán Pető in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
