The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Kisgyőr.F.C.'s István Gerencsér proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Kisgyőr.F.C. from getting a goal against them. Ronny Björklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from László Török, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronny Björklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from János Udvarhelyi in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match, Norbert Kiss got a very nice opportunity to score, but István Gerencsér was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when László Török got free with Ronny Björklund in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronny Björklund stood somewhat misplaced when Valentin Jósa came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 71 minute. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. In the 85th minute Valentin Jósa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Björklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
