The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tibor Fülöp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without György Ambrus having to interfere. György Ambrus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Béla Pásztor in the 5th minute of the match. Benedek Asztalos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, György Ambrus skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Kakucs FC's goalie and right to Szabolcs Varga. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Kakucs FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Kakucs FC's Radowit Kociniewski got a free kick in the 14th minute. Béla Pásztor scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of György Ambrus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kakucs FC's Tamás Galambos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vilmos Solti in the 26 minute of the game. György Ambrus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilmos Solti in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedek Asztalos in the 37th minute of play forced Kakucs FC's goalkeeper György Ambrus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With splendid footwork Vilmos Solti arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-0 by the left pole in the game's 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Kálmán Gyarmati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilmos Kollár in the 54th minute of the match. Kakucs FC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after MALÉV SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Floyd Hasselbaink took the corner. The corner led Kakucs FC's Floyd Hasselbaink to fire away a dangerous shot which Kálmán Gyarmati despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 56th minute Tibor Fülöp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Ambrus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilmos Kollár recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute Béla Pásztor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Ambrus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Vilmos Solti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MALÉV SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The audience was convinced that Béla Pásztor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but György Ambrus was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. László Gyárfás kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Béla Pásztor put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of György Ambrus. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MALÉV SC had played much better football throughout.
