Zsolt Győrffy started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Gellénháza's Zsolt Győrffy got a free kick in the 7th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kálmán Káposztás got free with Szilveszter Győri in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Szabolcs Lengyel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of I ll be back's Barnabás Szabó. Barnabás Szabó was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Barnabás Szabó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szabolcs Lengyel in the 27th minute of the match. A hard shot 33 in the game by Kálmán Káposztás from a close distance when the talented Szilveszter Győri managed to make a qualified save. Gellénháza's players were relieved. Kálmán Káposztás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Szilveszter Győri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Károly Sarkady hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After the first half Gellénháza were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kálmán Káposztás made the kick off in the second half. If Kálmán Káposztás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Róbert Pálinkás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, János Szarka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Szilveszter Győri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kálmán Káposztás in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kálmán Káposztás in the 57th minute of play forced Gellénháza's goalkeeper Szilveszter Győri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Károly Sarkady hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Szabolcs Lengyel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gellénháza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szabolcs Lengyel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Szilveszter Győri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from János Szarka, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Arnold Szusza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gellénháza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave I ll be back the free kick. A collision led to Gellénháza getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Arnold Szusza hit a great ball. In the 69th match minute, Gellénháza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbert Pálinkás to maneuver through the defense. I ll be back's Kálmán Káposztás got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Gellénháza defense, Kálmán Káposztás kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Szilveszter Győri. The Gellénháza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Szilveszter Győri should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kálmán Káposztás in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Szilveszter Győri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 85 played minutes Gellénháza got a freekick which was hit by Pál Halász. After 89 played minutes I ll be back got a freekick which was hit by Marcell Almási. Szilveszter Győri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kálmán Káposztás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kálmán Káposztás in the 94th minute of play forced Gellénháza's goalkeeper Szilveszter Győri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see I ll be back lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
