After 10 played minutes Kisgyőr.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dénes Szűcs. In the 11th minute Vilmos Solti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but István Gerencsér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Kisgyőr.F.C. defense, Tibor Fülöp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of István Gerencsér. The Kisgyőr.F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that István Gerencsér should have stopped the shot. László Török could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Kálmán Gyarmati made a huge save. Kálmán Gyarmati stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of János Udvarhelyi's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Kisgyőr.F.C.'s István Gerencsér played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Béla Pásztor in the 20th minute of play. After 23 played minutes MALÉV SC got a freekick which was hit by László Gyárfás. In the 27thth minute of the game Benedek Asztalos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kisgyőr.F.C.'s István Gerencsér was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tibor Fülöp took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised István Gerencsér. István Gerencsér dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. László Töröks short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Kálmán Gyarmati to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilmos Solti in the 45th minute of play forced Kisgyőr.F.C.'s goalkeeper István Gerencsér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kálmán Gyarmati made an important save on a dangerous shot by János Udvarhelyi in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kálmán Gyarmati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from János Udvarhelyi in the 50th minute of the match. János Udvarhelyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kálmán Gyarmati having to interfere. Kálmán Gyarmati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Udvarhelyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Kisgyőr.F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benedek Asztalos came free, but István Gerencsér reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kálmán Gyarmati showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from László Török, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. István Gerencsér showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Béla Pásztor in the 63rd minute of the match. Kálmán Gyarmati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from László Török in the 64th minute of play. Szabolcs Varga hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, Kisgyőr.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Csanád Tímár to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, MALÉV SC's Tibor Fülöp dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. When Márton Dankó fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kisgyőr.F.C.'s protests and gave Márton Dankó a yellow card for diving instead. Márton Dankó hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Kisgyőr.F.C.'s István Gerencsér proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Kisgyőr.F.C. from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, István Gerencsér successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
