After a rather tough play, MALÉV SC's Béla Pásztor got a free kick in the 10th minute. When Benedek Asztalos came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the MALÉV SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedek Asztalos couldn't finish the play. After 14 minutes, Béla Pásztor made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gellénháza's Szilveszter Győri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Szilveszter Győri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Béla Pásztor's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Vilmos Solti lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Szilveszter Győri. Vilmos Solti struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Szilveszter Győri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MALÉV SC. Béla Pásztor was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 33rd minute. MALÉV SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Szilveszter Győri came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by MALÉV SC's Benedek Asztalos. But to his dismay, Benedek Asztalos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. If Béla Pásztor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Vilmos Solti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MALÉV SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zsolt Győrffy to strike the kick off in the second half. Vilmos Solti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute.
