Szentgotthárd's Pancho Puskás got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simon La Rocca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kornél Hajdú having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling József Sallói in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Szentgotthárd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bálint Benedek in the 80th minute. Szentgotthárd's József Sallói was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Almir Saldanha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 82nd minute, Bálint Battai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling József Sallói in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zakariás Tótfalusi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, József Sallói put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Almir Saldanha. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Szentgotthárd were victorious despite being under pressure from FC Galaxy for much of the match.
