With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Várdomb's Marciano Marino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Mees in the 4th minute of play. When Várdomb's Olaf Wieczorek in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Henter Somosd's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Arnd Schade could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Marciano Marino however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pape Lillo in the 11th minute of play forced FC Henter Somosd's goalkeeper Paulo Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Henter Somosd's attentive Arnd Schade managed to snatch the ball when Codruț Doroftei made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. Marciano Marino came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Henter Somosd's Frank Mees. But to his dismay, Frank Mees quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 20th minute Arnd Schade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Marino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Várdomb's goalkeeper Marciano Marino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute Neymar Da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Várdomb's Marciano Marino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Mees in the 26th minute of play. If Frank Mees had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Várdomb's Marciano Marino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Várdomb from getting a goal against them. Ulises Ugaitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marciano Marino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulises Ugaitz ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Mees got free with Marciano Marino in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arnd Schade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Marino having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Frank Mees notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Várdomb's Marciano Marino. Marciano Marino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Imre Herceg took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Leão. Paulo Leão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Mees was the one to do the kick off. Olaf Wieczorek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Paulo Leão made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pape Lillo got free with Paulo Leão in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute of the match, Pape Lillo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulo Leão saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 60 minutes into the match, FC Henter Somosd's Frank Mees sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marciano Marino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 minutes Várdomb's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kristóf Szőllőssy who took care of the corner kick. Ulises Ugaitz made a great header on FC Henter Somosd's corner, it was just that Várdomb's Marciano Marino managed to reach the ball for a save. Paulo Leão made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Neymar Da Silva sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Várdomb players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Henter Somosd.
