Berni FC's Kálmán Gácsi got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pál Mester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kálmán Gácsi in the 5th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Pál Mester successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dávid Kerekes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Pál Mester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kálmán Gácsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 minutes of play, Red Devils's Orlando Rivera made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. György Tóth was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Rivera in the 22nd minute of play forced Berni FC's goalkeeper György Tóth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berni FC's goalkeeper György Tóth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Red Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Csaba Végvári came free, but Pál Mester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. György Tóth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Villa in the 29th minute of the match. A collision led to Berni FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kálmán Gácsi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kálmán Gácsi in the 42nd minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Pál Mester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Csaba Végvári to strike the kick off in the second half. Károly Baranyai's late challenge caught a Berni FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Károly Baranyai helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, Red Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Károly Baranyai to maneuver through the defense. Pál Mester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kálmán Gácsi in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Berni FC's goalkeeper György Tóth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Márton Horváth took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pál Mester. Pál Mester dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Csaba Végvári had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Kálmán Gácsi put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Pál Mester. Szilárd Tótfalusi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomasz Pietrasz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without György Tóth having to interfere. Csaba Végvári received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pál Mester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Berni FC's Kálmán Gácsi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pál Mester made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Berni FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
