But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miklós Görbe couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Szilárd Tótfalusi during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Csaba Végvári to make the kick off. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kálmán Gácsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. György Tóth made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Miklós Görbe sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, Zalasárszeg OSE's Kálmán Gácsi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jácint Sári narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute Zalasárszeg OSE were awarded a corner. Tamás Herczegh went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Zalasárszeg OSE's Tamás Herczegh to fire away a dangerous shot which Jácint Sári despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Artemisz fiai's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
