Mislav Hac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Stanislav Trninić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinko Planinić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rakitje's Janko Ilišević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomica Šprem in the 9th minute of play. Stanislav Trninić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinko Planinić, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Kastav Učka's Oliver Brdarić made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Janko Ilišević was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute Feliks Čamagajevac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janko Ilišević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomica Šprem in the 20th minute of play forced Rakitje's goalkeeper Janko Ilišević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Kastav Učka's Oliver Brdarić ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Janko Ilišević. Janko Ilišević yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliks Čamagajevac in the 39th minute of play forced Rakitje's goalkeeper Janko Ilišević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dino Šoljaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislav Trninić having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Rakitje's Dino Šoljaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanislav Trninić made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinko Planinić to strike the kick off in the second half. Janko Ilišević didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feliks Čamagajevac went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Rakitje booed when Kastav Učka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miljenko Gobac didn't get a good kick on the ball. The tension between the Rakitje and the Kastav Učka players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mislav Hac hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The Rakitje fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. 92 minutes into the game, Kastav Učka's Tomica Šprem nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janko Ilišević made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. Janko Ilišević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliks Čamagajevac in the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Kastav Učka had won after a very even match.
