The supporters of FC Podhum booed when Petlovac Željezničar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Lukašek didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pero Perišić in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Neno Đačić saved FC Podhum from getting behind. FC Podhum's Neno Đačić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pero Perišić in the 16th minute of play. Petlovac Željezničar's Toma Pendo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Petlovac Željezničar's goalkeeper Sven Komadinić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the FC Podhum defense, Pero Perišić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Neno Đačić. The FC Podhum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Neno Đačić should have stopped the shot. Sven Komadinić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miro Košutić, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Pero Perišić came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Petlovac Željezničar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pero Perišić couldn't finish the play. In the 45th match minute, Petlovac Željezničar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Šimun Lajtner to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miro Košutić to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Pero Perišić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Petlovac Željezničar and the FC Podhum players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Petlovac Željezničar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pero Perišić to maneuver through the defense. Miro Košutić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sven Komadinić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pero Perišić in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Neno Đačić made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Toma Pendo sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the match, Toma Pendo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Podhum's Neno Đačić. Neno Đačić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Petlovac Željezničar's Pero Perišić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Neno Đačić. That made the score 0-3 after 68 minutes of play. 74 minutes into the match, Petlovac Željezničar's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Košutić came free, but Sven Komadinić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 76 minutes, Miro Košutić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Podhum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miro Košutić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 minutes, Pero Perišić made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. FC Podhum's Neno Đačić tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Toma Pendo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Neno Đačić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petlovac Željezničar. Miro Košutić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Petlovac Željezničar eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
