Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maestral Split's Sergej Salzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomislav Furmek in the 43rd minute of play. Tomo Nimac took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergej Salzer. Sergej Salzer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomislav Furmek made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of NK Croatia booed when Maestral Split was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gojko Koščica didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tomislav Furmek came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the NK Croatia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomislav Furmek couldn't finish the play. The supporters of NK Croatia booed when Maestral Split was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donat Majstorović didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tomislav Furmek fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NK Croatia's protests and gave Tomislav Furmek a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, NK Croatia's Tomislav Furmek got a free kick in the 64th minute. Berislav Lisinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miran Jašić having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Tomislav Furmek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergej Salzer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 73rd minute Tomo Nimac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergej Salzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergej Salzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomo Nimac in the 77th minute of the match. Tomislav Furmek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergej Salzer having to interfere. If Tomislav Furmek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Maestral Split's goal looked a bit too open when Tomo Nimac came free, but Sergej Salzer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergej Salzer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomislav Furmek in the 93rd minute of the match. Tomislav Furmek took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergej Salzer. Sergej Salzer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. NK Croatia had played much better football throughout.
