Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Miodrag Fošner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. In the 48th minute Slaven Turković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borna Mijić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Slaven Turković to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Križevci Naprijed's Bojan Vekić got a free kick in the 64th minute. 79 minutes into the match, NK Dubrovnik's goal looked a bit too open when Miodrag Fošner came free, but Lino Lajtner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Slaven Turković got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Križevci Naprijed fans cheered their team off the field, for while NK Dubrovnik had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
