An unexpectedly hard shot by Mijat Opašić in the 88th minute of play forced Rijeka's goalkeeper Nedjeljko Kocković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nedjeljko Kocković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mijat Opašić in the 90th minute of play. Joško Konjevod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joško Konjevod struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Jurica Miljuš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rijeka.
