After a rather tough play, Gromačnik ONK's Hrvoje Grbić got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After having played for 4 minutes, Zrinko Svinjarević managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Umag's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zrinko Svinjarević was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Oton Jakiša got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Feliks Zanoletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Toni Hodak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saša Štiglić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomica Smoje kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Feliks Zanoletti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gromačnik ONK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Umag a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. When Oton Jakiša came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Gromačnik ONK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oton Jakiša couldn't finish the play. Zrinko Svinjarević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dubravko Marčić having to interfere. When Oton Jakiša came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Gromačnik ONK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oton Jakiša couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 55 minutes, Oton Jakiša made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Umag's Radimir Cikatić tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Zrinko Svinjarević received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Dubravko Marčić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play, Gromačnik ONK's Toni Hodak made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Radimir Cikatić was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gromačnik ONK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
