Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute Rafael Ljubičić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zvonimir Mikulić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rafael Ljubičić came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Prode fans jumped to their feet. Želimir Pendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Jamičić in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Prode's goalkeeper Želimir Pendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vlaho Jeras. In the 92nd minute Ivan Jamičić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Želimir Pendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ivan Jamičić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Želimir Pendo was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
