When Niko Radanović fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NK Ajax Split's protests and gave Niko Radanović a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes NK Ajax Split got a freekick which was hit by Niko Radanović. In the 10th minute, Vlaho Benjak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 played minutes Imotski FC got a freekick which was hit by Vilim Radovan. Emilijan Kapša sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vlaho Benjak in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Žarko Rubić saved Imotski FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vlaho Benjak in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Žarko Rubić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Niko Radanović managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Ajax Split's supporters rose to their feet, but Niko Radanović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Žarko Rubić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vlaho Benjak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vlaho Benjak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilijan Kapša received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Žarko Rubić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Žarko Rubić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlaho Benjak in the 31st minute of the match. If Vlaho Benjak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When NK Ajax Split's Emilijan Kapša in 34 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Žarko Rubić guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Imotski FC! Imotski FC:s Žarko Rubić showed great skill when he stopped Blaženko Grčević:s penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Emilijan Kapša managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Ajax Split's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilijan Kapša was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Žarko Rubić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gradimir Resman got free with Janko Mažuranić in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilijan Kapša to strike the kick off in the second half. Žarko Rubić was a little too slow when Emilijan Kapša got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-1. Emilijan Kapša's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Žarko Rubić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Vlaho Benjak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Žarko Rubić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilijan Kapša in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 73 minutes, Arsen Lež managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imotski FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arsen Lež was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Vlaho Benjak managed to get in a good position for a shot. NK Ajax Split's supporters rose to their feet, but Vlaho Benjak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After a rather tough play, Imotski FC's Gradimir Resman got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Vlaho Benjak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilijan Kapša sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Žarko Rubić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilijan Kapša, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
