With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blaženko Pivac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blaženko Pivac stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tonči Pavičić's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Urfaspor's Dado Zlatarević got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Giraffes's zone, Romeo Stepić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaženko Pivac came out of the goal and Romeo Stepić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Urfaspor's Tonči Pavičić in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Giraffes's goalie prevented a goal. Pavel Markulj was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Urfaspor booed when FC Giraffes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maksim Rozga didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC Giraffes's Blaženko Pivac got control of the ball when Romeo Stepić tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Tonči Pavičić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Giraffes's Blaženko Pivac was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Giraffes's zone, Dado Zlatarević stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaženko Pivac came out of the goal and Dado Zlatarević tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tonči Pavičić had several of the FC Giraffes's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 48 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Blaženko Pivac as he didn't even see the shot coming. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tonči Pavičić was the one to do the kick off. Urfaspor's Dado Zlatarević got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lado Kifer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Blaženko Pivac. FC Giraffes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tonči Pavičić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urfaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Tonči Pavičić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blaženko Pivac breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pavel Markulj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oto Merkaš in the 64th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, FC Giraffes's Pavel Markulj threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oto Merkaš, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Urfaspor fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Urfaspor's Tonči Pavičić looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 77 played minutes, Urfaspor's Lado Kifer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Blaženko Pivac came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Urfaspor reached it. In the 80thth minute of the game Tonči Pavičić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Giraffes's Blaženko Pivac was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonči Pavičić in the 81st minute of play forced FC Giraffes's goalkeeper Blaženko Pivac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blaženko Pivac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonči Pavičić in the 83rd minute of the match. Tonči Pavičić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaženko Pivac having to interfere. If Tonči Pavičić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavel Markulj didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 98th minute, which inside left pole to 3-2.
