Jaroslaw Rzeszutek had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Gašpar Čubrić's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mokošica's Vlatko Rupčić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Matjašec in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Emre Hatip made the kick off in the second half. Ninoslav Kuhanec charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ninoslav Kuhanec the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gradimir Pavelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Damir Hozjan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vlatko Rupčić. That made the score 0-2 in the 66 minute of play. After 74th play minutes Damir Hozjan shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Vlatko Rupčić and just under the crossbar into goal. Vlatko Rupčić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damir Hozjan in the 96th minute of the match. Selski-Šumari NK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
