The crowd rose to their feet as Požega's Silvije Ražić slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Karelović. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Silvije Ražić did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised David Karelović 12 minutes into the match. Real Betis's David Karelović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Real Betis from getting a goal against them. David Karelović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvije Ražić in the 19th minute of the match. Šandor Bencur scored 2-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ostoja Penava, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute Silvije Ražić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Karelović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Požega's goal looked a bit too open when Šandor Bencur came free, but Ostoja Penava reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvije Ražić stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grgur Široka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ostoja Penava having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, Požega was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zrinko Dodaj to maneuver through the defense. After 76 minutes of play, Požega's Silvije Ražić made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Karelović was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Karelović stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marko Batur's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Silvije Ražić put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of David Karelović. After a defensive mix-up in Real Betis's zone, Silvije Ražić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Karelović came out of the goal and Silvije Ražić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Despot Palčić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Jurica Ptiček sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Karelović skillfully saved the ball. Grgur Široka struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Ostoja Penava didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Betis. Real Betis's David Karelović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Batur in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marko Batur in the 96th minute of play forced Real Betis's goalkeeper David Karelović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Požega fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Betis had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
