The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juraj Aničić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 21 minutes into the match, Škabrnja Sava's goal looked a bit too open when Franko Blaškić came free, but Juraj Aničić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lado Štokić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartol Vojak, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Lado Štokić was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edi Asanović showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. After the first half Pazin Vihorsadsd were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Juraj Aničić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franko Blaškić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomislav Perazić in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juraj Aničić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute Pazin Vihorsadsd were awarded a corner. Tomislav Perazić went to the cornerflag to take it. If Tomislav Perazić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pazin Vihorsadsd's Franko Blaškić got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute of the match, Ruđer Drašković got a very nice opportunity to score, but Juraj Aničić was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Silvio Jandrečić's late challenge caught a Pazin Vihorsadsd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
