Spectators: 6844 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nino Čobanov kicked off to start the match. Vjeran Prohaska sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julije Bobić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vedran Vujović went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Anđelko Malović kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anđelko Malović during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Milivoj Mlinac was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Vedran Vujović managed to get in a good position for a shot. Donji Laduč's supporters rose to their feet, but Vedran Vujović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julije Bobić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donji Laduč were furious when Blaženko Trajčević was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 20th minute, one of Donji Laduč:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Donji Laduč. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, Križ Slavija's Milivoj Mlinac got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Belimir Juršić. Nino Čobanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Belimir Juršić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Franko Hemula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Donji Laduč. Josip Turk stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Julije Bobić. 1-2. Nino Čobanov was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vedran Vujović stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Isak Korkut took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Belimir Juršić. Belimir Juršić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Mirko Jurišić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anđelko Malović hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Donji Laduč's zone, Nino Čobanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belimir Juršić came out of the goal and Nino Čobanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Neven Knežić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Neven Knežić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belimir Juršić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Anđelko Malović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belimir Juršić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neven Knežić in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Donji Laduč's Franko Hemula got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Donji Laduč's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
