Spectators: 8136 (Terracing: 6103, Seating: 1871, VIP seats: 162) FC Green Boys's Zlatko Festini started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Egon Rakamarić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Green Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zvijerci Vitez the free kick. The supporters of Zvijerci Vitez booed when FC Green Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egon Rakamarić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernest Šturbek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Juraj Kereković tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Green Boys's Juraj Kereković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Šturbek in the 12th minute of play. If Ernest Šturbek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juraj Kereković came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Zvijerci Vitez's Ernest Šturbek. But to his dismay, Ernest Šturbek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 42 minutes, Oto Kustec mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Green Boys and the Zvijerci Vitez players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Green Boys's Oto Kustec got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd match minute, FC Green Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Rakamarić to maneuver through the defense.

In the 55th minute Zlatko Festini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stjepan Karapandža saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Green Boys's Juraj Kereković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Većeslav Zukić in the 56th minute of play. After 57 minutes of play FC Green Boys's Egon Rakamarić was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Zvijerci Vitez's Ernest Šturbek couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Green Boys. In the 63rd minute, Alan Nikšić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduard Mažuranić struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Stjepan Karapandža didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Green Boys. Srećko Mamlić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Stjepan Karapandža tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juraj Kereković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Šturbek in the 73rd minute of play. Ernest Šturbek struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduard Mažuranić during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eduard Mažuranić kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Ernest Šturbek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zvijerci Vitez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Šturbek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zvijerci Vitez's zone, Eduard Mažuranić stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stjepan Karapandža came out of the goal and Eduard Mažuranić tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 83 played minutes Zvijerci Vitez got a freekick which was hit by Miodrag Osmanlić. After a rather tough play, Zvijerci Vitez's Bernard Šerbedžija got a free kick in the 86th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Zlatko Festini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Green Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zlatko Festini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernard Šerbedžija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juraj Kereković having to interfere. Zvijerci Vitez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
