After 13 minutes, Oto Kustec mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Green Boys and the Donji Laduč players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eduard Mažuranić hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Egon Rakamarić charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vedran Vujović made a kick off. Donji Laduč's Belimir Juršić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Srećko Mamlić in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play FC Green Boys's Oto Kustec was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Oto Kustec hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, FC Green Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Vedran Vujović came free, but Juraj Kereković reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davor Skelin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Juraj Kereković made a huge save. Davor Skelin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juraj Kereković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Belimir Juršić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Srećko Mamlić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belimir Juršić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduard Mažuranić went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the FC Green Boys defense, Vedran Vujović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juraj Kereković. The FC Green Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juraj Kereković should have stopped the shot. The Donji Laduč supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Donji Laduč would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
