Nino Čobanov's late challenge caught a CRO Champions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nino Čobanov helped the player get up and apologised. Nino Čobanov kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Julije Bobić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Mehić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zdenko Čolak during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Neven Knežić came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Križ Slavija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neven Knežić couldn't finish the play.
