Patrik Biškup hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Stjepko Matjašić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Vjekoslav Ferić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stjepko Matjašić struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Vjekoslav Ferić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Superstars. A collision led to Komin Sokol getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Nikša Bralo hit a great ball. Vjekoslav Ferić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stjepko Matjašić, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Berislav Stipić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Stjepko Matjašić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes, Zoltan Gradiček mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Komin Sokol and the Superstars players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zoltan Gradiček hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Tonči Markovina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vjekoslav Ferić having to interfere. Stjepko Matjašić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berislav Stipić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Fukač having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Superstars's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Biškup came free, but Leon Fukač reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tonči Markovina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Superstars got a freekick which was hit by Leopold Rajkov. Berislav Stipić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leon Fukač tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Berislav Stipić made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Jadranko Ilieva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Superstars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Komin Sokol the free kick. In the 56th minute, Jadranko Ilieva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berislav Stipić in the 57th minute of play forced Superstars's goalkeeper Leon Fukač to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrik Biškup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 60th minute Berislav Stipić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Fukač saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Biškup received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Leon Fukač tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tonči Markovina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zoltan Gradiček got his second yellow card in the match during the 68th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Zoltan Gradiček hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Vjekoslav Ferić came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Superstars's Tonči Markovina. But to his dismay, Tonči Markovina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Komin Sokol booed when Superstars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Kalogjera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vjekoslav Ferić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stjepko Matjašić in the 80th minute of play. Patrik Biškup fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Fukač having to interfere. If Stjepko Matjašić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Komin Sokol players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Superstars.
