Ljudevit Pezo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Siniša Dragašević's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When Šandor Simić came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Princes of wales Island fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Šandor Simić couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Višeslav Trošelj in the 43rd minute of play forced Princes of wales Island's goalkeeper Ljudevit Pezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Višeslav Trošelj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ljudevit Pezo having to interfere. The supporters of Princes of wales Island booed when HrV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ljudevit Pezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Miljenko Hunjadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. In the 95th match minute, Princes of wales Island was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oto Lozica to maneuver through the defense. HrV's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
