Stjepan Dedaj hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Ruđer Glavota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vjekoslav Šterger having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Krešo Čilić kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vjekoslav Šterger. That made the score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gordan Mudri during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Centarfor booed when NK Maksimir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitar Samuda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Predrag Habulin hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Krešo Čilić succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Šandor Vlaše sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Centarfor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Centarfor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
