Augustin Kerman charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Augustin Kerman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Nk Dugave Zg getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Augustin Kerman hit a great ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Fran Pavlina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NK Zrinski's Đino Vračarić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Valentin Školjarev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Mijić in the 16th minute of play forced Nk Dugave Zg's goalkeeper Tonči Kopljar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Antonio Mijić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Školjarev in the 21st minute of play forced NK Zrinski's goalkeeper Đino Vračarić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Valentin Školjarev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nk Dugave Zg's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Školjarev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đino Vračarić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 30 minutes, Fran Pavlina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nk Dugave Zg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fran Pavlina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antonio Mijić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tonči Kopljar having to interfere. The supporters of NK Zrinski booed when Nk Dugave Zg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jadranko Vukmirica didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tonči Kopljar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jasenko Carević in the 38th minute. Đino Vračarić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fran Pavlina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Antonio Mijić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jasenko Carevićs short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Tonči Kopljar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Antonio Mijić got free in front of the goal in the 49th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Tonči Kopljar was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Antonio Mijić made the kick off in the second half. NK Zrinski's Đino Vračarić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fran Pavlina in the 54th minute of play. Jasenko Carević kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With his leg Đino Vračarić managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Nk Dugave Zg's Valentin Školjarev fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 58th match minute, NK Zrinski was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristijan Bobić to maneuver through the defense. NK Zrinski:s Đino Vračarić showed great skill when he stopped Joško Dvornik:s penalty. In the 61st minute, Joško Dvornik made a precise shot to the right of Đino Vračarić. NK Zrinski's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Nk Dugave Zg's Fran Pavlina got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Domagoj Gajić fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NK Zrinski's protests and gave Domagoj Gajić a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, NK Zrinski's Đino Vračarić got control of the ball when Valentin Školjarev tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute Fran Pavlina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Đino Vračarić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nk Dugave Zg's Tonči Kopljar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasenko Carević in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fran Pavlina in the 95th minute of play forced NK Zrinski's goalkeeper Đino Vračarić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NK Zrinski's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fran Pavlina 97 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Antonio Mijić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tonči Kopljar having to interfere. The Nk Dugave Zg players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
