A beautiful save bye FC CRO CHAMPIONS's goalie prevented a goal. When Vjenceslav Belić came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the FC CRO CHAMPIONS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vjenceslav Belić couldn't finish the play. Tomo Glavota might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolf Nađ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomo Glavota ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomo Glavota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolf Nađ having to interfere. Vjenceslav Belić might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolf Nađ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vjenceslav Belić ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute, Vjenceslav Belić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damir Novačić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Julije Skopal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julije Skopal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joško Pešorda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vjenceslav Belić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julije Skopal was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Radimir Džamonja capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Radimir Džamonja really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Tomo Glavota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolf Nađ having to interfere. Damir Novačić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joško Pešorda in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julije Skopal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joško Pešorda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Julije Skopal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomo Glavota to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66th match minute, FC CRO CHAMPIONS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cvjetko Šunić to maneuver through the defense. Joško Pešorda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Julije Skopal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolf Nađ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomo Glavota in the 72nd minute of play. Julije Skopal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damir Novačić in the 75th minute of the match. After 75 minutes, Cvjetko Šunić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC CRO CHAMPIONS and the NK Shpaolin players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes FC CRO CHAMPIONS got a freekick which was hit by Cvjetko Šunić. If Damir Novačić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NK Shpaolin's Adolf Nađ proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save NK Shpaolin from getting a goal against them. Damir Novačić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 84th minute Joško Pešorda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julije Skopal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vjenceslav Belić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Adolf Nađ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC CRO CHAMPIONS booed when NK Shpaolin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radimir Džamonja didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomo Glavota in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolf Nađ saved NK Shpaolin from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damir Novačić in the 94th minute of play forced FC CRO CHAMPIONS's goalkeeper Julije Skopal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute Damir Novačić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julije Skopal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
