Marko Reljić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Damjan Baruška shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Reljić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marko Reljić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damjan Baruška in the 15th minute of the match. Držimir Ledenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neno Bježančević having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Varteks's Feliks Čaplar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Feliks Čaplar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Varteks protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Feliks Čaplar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Varteks:s Marko Reljić showed great skill when he stopped Darko Markić:s penalty. Držimir Ledenko struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Neno Bježančević didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varteks. If Sebastijan Pajić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damjan Baruška scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marko Reljić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 36 played minutes Kobilić got a freekick which was hit by Darko Markić. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damjan Baruška was the one to do the kick off. Sebastijan Pajić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marko Reljić was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Damjan Baruška capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Damjan Baruška really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Marko Reljić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damjan Baruška, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damjan Baruška recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastijan Pajić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Držimir Ledenko struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Marko Reljić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastijan Pajić went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Damjan Baruška came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Kobilić fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damjan Baruška couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, Mihael Popivoda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damjan Baruška struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Marko Reljić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kobilić. When Damjan Baruška came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Kobilić fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damjan Baruška couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Varteks's zone, Damjan Baruška stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marko Reljić came out of the goal and Damjan Baruška tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damjan Baruška's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marko Reljić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Sebastijan Pajić in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marko Reljić, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
