The supporters of Leeds United AFC booed when Banovci Polet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrijan Markač didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dado Kuna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borko Šterger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Jadran Vuletić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Banovci Polet's Borko Šterger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zvonko Šubat's late challenge caught a Leeds United AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zvonko Šubat helped the player get up and apologised. Zvonko Šubat hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Joško Poklepović fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Borko Šterger having to interfere. Kristijan Čuljak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marin Lijović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 33 minutes, Joško Poklepović managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leeds United AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joško Poklepović was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Leeds United AFC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jadran Vuletić hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Joško Poklepović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Borko Šterger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Vlaho Ćavar kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Banovci Polet players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Leeds United AFC were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romeo Pugelnik was the one to do the kick off. Borko Šterger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jadran Vuletić's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Borko Šterger firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zvonko Šubat kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Ivan Ćosić received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Borko Šterger came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivan Ćosić slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 97th minute. Leeds United AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
