Obinna Orange's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ante Smalcelj read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Gajić Zadrugar's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Obinna Orange scored to the left of an out of position Ante Smalcelj, making the score, 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as ╰•★★ ცƖąƈƙ ცųƖƖ ★★•╯'s Obinna Orange slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ante Smalcelj. That made the score 2-1 after 31 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilan Spindler in the 36th minute of play forced ╰•★★ ცƖąƈƙ ცųƖƖ ★★•╯'s goalkeeper Felix Salvidor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Tonino Martinis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ╰•★★ ცƖąƈƙ ცųƖƖ ★★•╯'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gajić Zadrugar the free kick. The supporters of Gajić Zadrugar booed when ╰•★★ ცƖąƈƙ ცųƖƖ ★★•╯ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tonino Martinis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Obinna Orange could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Ante Smalcelj made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matko Balog stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernard Nowakowski struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Gajić Zadrugar's Ilan Spindler got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ante Smalcelj made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Obinna Orange in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Obinna Orange got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ante Smalcelj didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Obinna Orange went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. ╰•★★ ცƖąƈƙ ცųƖƖ ★★•╯'s Felix Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofil Mrvelj in the 71st minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Gajić Zadrugar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stjepko Mihajlović to maneuver through the defense. ╰•★★ ცƖąƈƙ ცųƖƖ ★★•╯'s Abbas Kutan got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
