With a little luck, Banovci Polet's Borko Šterger got control of the ball when Sebastijan Futač tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Pugelnik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, Jesenice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radoslav Prgomet to maneuver through the defense. Klement Munić's late challenge caught a Banovci Polet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastijan Futač helped the player get up and apologised. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Pugelnik to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Banovci Polet got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Pugelnik. Jesenice's Cvjetko Paljar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nebojša Maljković in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57th minute, Banovci Polet's Romeo Pugelnik dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Borko Šterger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastijan Sever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 played minutes Banovci Polet got a freekick which was hit by Zvonko Šubat. In the 79th minute, Leon Čorković got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Jesenice booed when Banovci Polet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nebojša Maljković didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Jesenice got a freekick which was hit by Tomislav Bićanić. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
