Joško Poklepović scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franko Koloper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dobroslav Vodanović scored 0-3 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franko Koloper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franko Koloper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jadran Vuletić's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Leeds United AFC's Jadran Vuletić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 35th minute Joško Poklepović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franko Koloper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavel Čopec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kristijan Čuljak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franko Koloper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jadran Vuletić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Leeds United AFC's Jadran Vuletić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franko Koloper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. After 48 played minutes Leeds United AFC got a freekick which was hit by Damir Miljuš.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolf Mandarić made a kick off. Orbiteri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Jadran Vuletić scored to the left of an out of position Franko Koloper, making the score, 0-7. In the 56th minute of the match Lino Stilinović shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristijan Čuljak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Orbiteri's Franko Koloper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Predan in the 57th minute of play. Franko Koloper made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Joško Poklepović sent off a good shot on target. In the 59th match minute, Orbiteri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zoltan Nemčić to maneuver through the defense. Leeds United AFC's Jadran Vuletić got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bojan Arbanas hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Jadran Vuletić took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Franko Koloper to make any attempt to save it. Franko Koloper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Predan in the 70th minute of play. Orbiteri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Joško Poklepović scored to the left of an out of position Franko Koloper, making the score, 0-9. Joško Poklepović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 83 minutes, Zoltan Nemčić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orbiteri and the Leeds United AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jadran Vuletić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Franko Koloper made a huge save. Orbiteri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Joško Poklepović scored to the left of an out of position Franko Koloper, making the score, 0-10. Lino Stilinović was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. The Orbiteri fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Leeds United AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
