Stipanovci Željezničar's supporters rose to their feet, but Vice Vrhovski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vice Vrhovski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Borko Šterger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Frane Čiček's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borko Šterger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Frane Čiček did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Borko Šterger 88 minutes into the match. Frane Čiček could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Borko Šterger made a huge save. In the 96th minute Nebojša Maljković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fran Mađarić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stipanovci Željezničar's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
