If Edo Đunđek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucijan Vuković's late challenge caught a Orbiteri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucijan Vuković helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Brezovica's Lucijan Vuković got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Pavel Čopec came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Orbiteri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavel Čopec couldn't finish the play. In the 11th match minute, Brezovica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucijan Vuković to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Brezovica's Vedran Mironović seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vedran Mironović the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Brezovica protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vedran Mironović had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Brezovica:s Tord Åkerman showed great skill when he stopped Adolf Mandarić:s penalty. 35 minutes into the match, Pavel Čopec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tord Åkerman. Brezovica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pavel Čopec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Tord Åkerman made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Adolf Mandarić sent off a good shot on target. Brezovica's Tord Åkerman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Brezovica from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adolf Mandarić made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Orbiteri's Pavel Čopec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tord Åkerman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 60th minute, Pavel Čopec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ljubomir Belinić hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Tord Åkerman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Mandarić in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Adolf Mandarić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tord Åkerman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tord Åkerman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Čopec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brezovica's goalkeeper Tord Åkerman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adolf Mandarić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tord Åkerman having to interfere. Tord Åkerman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolf Mandarić's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Orbiteri fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brezovica had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
