After a rather tough play, Red Devils's Andreas Vall got a free kick in the 7th minute. Dominik Klaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clayton Zaragoza having to interfere. Clayton Zaragoza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Priidik Room, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Red Devils getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Andreas Vall hit a great ball. Red Devils's Clayton Zaragoza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Priidik Room in the 19th minute of play. Priidik Room sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes, Priidik Room made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Red Devils's Clayton Zaragoza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Viktor Ostoić made a great header on NK OSIJEK's corner, it was just that Red Devils's Clayton Zaragoza managed to reach the ball for a save. After 31st play minutes Priidik Room shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Clayton Zaragoza and just under the crossbar into goal. Clayton Zaragoza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Priidik Room in the 35th minute of play. Priidik Room received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stjepko Staničić to make the kick off. Matko Gortan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stjepko Staničić, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Toni Bandić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The NK OSIJEK fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when NK OSIJEK's Priidik Room looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 64 minutes, Dominik Klaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NK OSIJEK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominik Klaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. NK OSIJEK's Luka Jović got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clayton Zaragoza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Priidik Room went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Red Devils's Clayton Zaragoza got control of the ball when Luka Jović tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clayton Zaragoza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luka Jović's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 93rd match minute, Red Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radimir Murgić to maneuver through the defense. NK OSIJEK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
