With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clayton Zaragoza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clayton Zaragoza made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when August Latin sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute Toni Bandić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velimir Paunović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stjepko Staničić might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Velimir Paunović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stjepko Staničić ran back to his position shaking his head. Red Devils's Clayton Zaragoza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdenko Perkušić in the 21st minute of play. Zvonimir Kaurić's late challenge caught a TPL Kappa GG's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zvonimir Kaurić helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Zvonimir Kaurić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihael Pavlovec hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zdenko Perkušić in the 33rd minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Clayton Zaragoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, August Latin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 43 minutes, Sandi Matrljan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TPL Kappa GG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandi Matrljan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Zvonimir Kaurić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Red Devils's Toni Bandić got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Radimir Murgić fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Devils's protests and gave Radimir Murgić a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Red Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radimir Murgić to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Zdenko Perkušić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clayton Zaragoza was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stjepko Staničić during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Bandić couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, TPL Kappa GG's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Toni Bandić fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Krešimir Čamagajevac during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute of the match Andreas Vall shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Velimir Paunović showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. August Latin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clayton Zaragoza having to interfere. Velimir Paunović came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Devils's Toni Bandić. But to his dismay, Toni Bandić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Red Devils left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than TPL Kappa GG.
