With a left leg Zvonko Glavak saved Synth FC from getting behind. Ostoja Martinović kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Julije Kanjer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vlaho Modrah firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 16th minute of the match Synth FC got a corner. Kanarinci's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Goran Štokić ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 17th match minute, Synth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jadranko Poduška to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute of the match Radoslav Ivanković shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zvonko Glavak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Dario Ruklić made a precise shot to the right of Vlaho Modrah. Kanarinci's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After some careless play in the Synth FC defense, Dragutin Vasiljević kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvonko Glavak. The Synth FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvonko Glavak should have stopped the shot. Zvonko Glavak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragutin Vasiljević, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julije Kanjer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Vlaho Modrah made a huge save. Izidor Katunarić charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Izidor Katunarić the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vlaho Modrah made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radoslav Priselac in the 35th minute. Kanarinci were furious when Ostoja Martinović was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kanarinci! When the match had been going on for 42 minutes, Synth FC's Goran Štokić got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vlaho Modrah. In the 45th minute Nikola Stjepanović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlaho Modrah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julije Kanjer might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vlaho Modrah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julije Kanjer ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radoslav Ivanković made a kick off. Zvonko Glavak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruno Dragišić went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikola Stjepanović in the 61st minute of play forced Kanarinci's goalkeeper Vlaho Modrah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toni Šimić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Julije Kanjer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Synth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julije Kanjer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vlaho Modrah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kanarinci's Radoslav Ivanković got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kanarinci made a substitution. Petar Krile replaced Dragutin Vasiljević. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Toni Šimić managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kanarinci's supporters rose to their feet, but Toni Šimić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zvonko Glavak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radoslav Ivanković struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Zvonko Glavak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kanarinci. In the 78th minute Nikola Stjepanović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlaho Modrah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kanarinci's Vjekoslav Gojak quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Izidor Katunarić, made in the 80th minute of the game. Petar Krile received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Zvonko Glavak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Ruklić hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Vlaho Modrah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Stjepanović in the 87th minute of play. Radoslav Ivanković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zvonko Glavak having to interfere.
