Lipovljani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Žminj ONK the free kick. In the 7th minute Valentin Brcina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabrijel Jovanovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Valentin Brcina managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Žminj ONK's Grgur Mađar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikifor Kulaksúzov in the 13th minute of play. The corner led Lipovljani's Nikifor Kulaksúzov to fire away a dangerous shot which Grgur Mađar despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Žminj ONK's goal looked a bit too open when Tonko Urban came free, but Grgur Mađar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Valentin Brcina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabrijel Jovanovski was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Žminj ONK's Stanko Jertec got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Cvjetko Štokić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin De Bruyne scored 1-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Grgur Mađar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute Tonko Urban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grgur Mađar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Lipovljani's Egon Škare was substituted for Valter Vidulić. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valentin Brcina to strike the kick off in the second half. Žminj ONK's Boro Bonačić was substituted for Valentin Brcina. Žminj ONK made a substitution. Clementi Bustio replaced Stanko Jertec. Žminj ONK were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Lipovljani's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luisito Portillo took the corner. Matko Drapčinski's late challenge caught a Lipovljani's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matko Drapčinski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Matko Drapčinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cvjetko Štokić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Grgur Mađar having to make a save. Grgur Mađar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cvjetko Štokić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grgur Mađar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cvjetko Štokić in the 69th minute of play. Boro Bonačić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clementi Bustio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Gabrijel Jovanovski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Žminj ONK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luisito Portillo in the 75th minute. The supporters of Lipovljani booed when Žminj ONK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isak Katić didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Renato Vince hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84 played minutes Žminj ONK got a freekick which was hit by Kristijan Carlin. A collision led to Lipovljani getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Kevin De Bruyne hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Luisito Portillo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabrijel Jovanovski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Žminj ONK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
