But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erwann Malot couldn't finish the play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ben Gayral to make the kick off. Ramzy Chaine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Édouard Marotte having to interfere. Jérémy Drieu struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Édouard Marotte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zimmerbach. After a rather tough play, Sergy's Tim Barrot got a free kick in the 66th minute. Édouard Marotte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jérémy Drieu in the 67th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Jérémy Drieu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Édouard Marotte. Sergy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jérémy Drieu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Édouard Marotte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grégory Debout in the 89th minute of play. Zimmerbach's Jérémy Drieu got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ben Gayral charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ben Gayral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Ben Gayral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Zimmerbach were the better team. Zimmerbach's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
