In the 21stth minute of the game Jean-Marie Maille who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montmagny's Yann Leroux was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Montmagny's goalkeeper Yann Leroux had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florent Vivien. Yann Leroux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Marie Maille, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Alix Dureau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Maurice Le Port's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noël Camilleri was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Florent Vivien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 minutes of play, Beuvry's Jean-Marie Maille made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yann Leroux was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eddy Mauny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noël Camilleri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. If Georges Faugère had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yann Leroux didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jean-Marie Maille went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Édouard Bihel kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Montmagny's zone, Pierre-Louis Bihan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yann Leroux came out of the goal and Pierre-Louis Bihan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florent Vivien struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Yann Leroux didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beuvry. Yann Leroux showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Marie Maille, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Beuvry's Jean-Marie Maille got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jean-Marie Maille had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Montmagny booed when Beuvry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georges Faugère didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Eddy Mauny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montmagny's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy Mauny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noël Camilleri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beuvry fans cheered their team off the field, for while Montmagny had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
