Spectators: 6698 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Clément Mairesse kicked off to start the match. Daniel Merlaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zinedine Castets having to interfere. The Varage fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre-Emmanuel Jouvet should have stopped the shot. Zinedine Castets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auguste Torre in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute Clément Mairesse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre-Emmanuel Jouvet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Varage's goalkeeper Pierre-Emmanuel Jouvet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Graf. 84 minutes into the game, Cergy's Joaquim Graf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
