Alpha Legion's Daryl Marrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Moreno in the 15th minute of play. Jakša Kolarov struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Daryl Marrot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BARCELONE. In the 22nd minute of the match, Marius Frère got a very nice opportunity to score, but Josselin Breteau was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 25 minutes of play, BARCELONE's Jakša Kolarov made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daryl Marrot was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute Joël Level shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josselin Breteau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes, Jakša Kolarov made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Alpha Legion's Daryl Marrot tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakša Kolarov in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daryl Marrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daryl Marrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakša Kolarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Joël Level took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Josselin Breteau to make any attempt to save it. If Jakša Kolarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Alpha Legion players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BARCELONE were winning 1-2.

Jakša Kolarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Daryl Marrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Alpha Legion getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ibrahim Contet hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Jakša Kolarov took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Daryl Marrot to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakša Kolarov in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daryl Marrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakša Kolarov in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daryl Marrot saved Alpha Legion from getting behind. Josselin Breteau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Burel, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Jakša Kolarovs short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Daryl Marrot to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Dan Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Julien Bouchez came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the BARCELONE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julien Bouchez couldn't finish the play. Julien Bouchez hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Josselin Cagnon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jakša Kolarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Daryl Marrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daryl Marrot made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Terry Ferdinand sent off a good shot on target. BARCELONE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Terry Grancher in the 92nd minute. After taking down the ball on BARCELONE's corner Terry Grancher fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Daryl Marrot quite easily take care of the ball. BARCELONE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
